   Attending a seminar allows you to spend an hour with a tasting professional in an intimate environment. Different wine growing regions and experts will be brought in throughout the day. These exclusive seminars cost $25 per person. Seating is limited. Tickets to the event must be purchased in addition to the seminar if you wish to attend the general floor exhibit.

   Seminars are only $25 and can be ordered with regular tickets ($50 each) or VIP tickets ($60 each. Order Seminar Tickets (Will Call Only) by calling 585-217-3135.

Italian Wines

   In Italy, wine is a necessary component of the evening meal, a simple part of enjoying daily life. Jerome Hasenpflug is the National Educator for Italian wine for Palm Bay Imports. He will talk about wines from the Piedmont and Veneto areas of Italy. The wines to be tasted include:

White Burgundy
3:00 to 4 p.m.

   The immense variety of white wines from Burgundy comes primarily from one grape: Chardonnay. Chardonnay adapts itself to the different soils and climates of the area to produce some of the finest white wines in the world.
Michael Swain is the General Sales Manager for Vineyard Brands, a leading importer of fine French Burgundies. Michael's knowledge of the Burgundy growers and negotiants will interest all who attend. The wines to be tasted include:

   You will be treated to fine French champagnes in the festival's most popular seminar. Champagne is associated with the initial burst of effervescence which occurs when the liquid contacts the dry glass on pouring. Fabian Gay is the French Ambassador for Pernod Ricard and represents the Champagne houses of Perrier Jouet and G.H. Mumm. He will discuss the methode champenoise, a special way of getting the sparkle in the wine and give an overview of the Champagne region of France. The wines to be tasted include:

   Two seminars for the price of one. Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery and Standing Stone Winery will join to discuss the histories of their locally owned wineries. Dr. Fred Frank (grandson of Dr. Konstantin Frank) and Martha Macinski will present a tasting of their favorite wines made right here in Western New York. The wines to be tasted include:

6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

   David Nowicki, Eastern United States representative for Premium Port Wines, Inc., will present a wonderful seminar on Port Wines - some of the world's most storied and delicious wines. Premium Port Wine, Inc., is the North American importer for such great labels as Grahams, Dow's, Smith Woodhouse and Quinta do Vesuvio.
Mr Nowick will lead the group through the various levels of Port starting from Ruby Ports to the greatest of all, vintage Ports. A selection of their great estates will be poured, including 2003 Grahams Vintage.
