Overlooking Seneca Lake, Bloomer Creek Vineyard is owned and operated by wine grower Kim Engle and his wife, artist Debra Bermingham.
The winery produces wines from European grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Cabernet Franc and Riesling.
Bloomer Creek's limited production consists primarily of European varietals: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Engle says he carefully manages his small vineyard, keeping yields low to ensure that the grapes used in his wine are sound and ripe.
The adjacent Stone Cat Café serves smoked pulled pork barbecue, grilled wild Alaskan salmon and vegetarian dishes. The café features live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and a Sunday jazz brunch in the dining room, seasonally. It is closed during the winter.
The winery is open from December through February by appointment only.
