Celebrate, a semi-dry blend of Riesling and Vidal Blanc, flies off the shelves at Keuka Spring Winery in Penn Yan, Yates County, but dry reds also figure into the lineup. Options include Lemberger made from the eponymous red vinifera grape that Keuka Spring co-owners Len and Judy Wiltberger first planted in the 1990s and a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend called Miller’s Cove Red.
Summertime food-and-wine pairing events such as Shrimp and Chardonnay and Merlot and Mignon help spread the love for the Keuka Lake winery’s output. Now under development is a Grill Your Own Burger event, featuring the chance to tuck into grass-fed beef.
