Nestled in a cherry-red structure that once housed a fruit stand, Seneca Lake-based Fruit Yard Winery specializes in wines made from grapes and other fruit. The entire lineup is produced from crops grown in New York state.
Available single-fruit wines include plum, blueberry and peach. The grape-based options, which bear the label of Fruit Yard or the affiliated Seneca Shore Wine Cellars, tend to be drier and range from Gewurztraminer to barrel-fermented Chardonnay.
The winery opened in the summer of 2009.
