Cayuga Lake's newest winery will have its soft opening Friday and a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 31, with tours, tapas and tastings.
More than 50 food and wine vendors will offer samples at Seneca Lake Wine & Food 2013 in Watkins Glen on June 1 and 2.
The kickoff party Friday will include free boat tours and tastings of rosés from around the world.
Four wineries won double gold medals, which require a unanimous vote by the judges, and others won dozens of golds.
The June 1 event will benefit the foundation's culinary and agricultural scholarships, apprenticeships and internships in the Finger Lakes region in memory of Red Newt's late executive chef and co-owner, Debra Whiting.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars and Belhurst Winery won trophies at the Riverside International Wine Competition, and New York wineries collected numerous other awards and medals.
Hours at the Naples winery, which was founded in 1987, will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
